"Balance"
Hello.
This is Aoyagi.
This week's column is about "The Scales," a story that might give you a little motivation.
I mentioned in the last column that I would write about Shoin Yoshida, but I completely forgot. Lol.
So, I'll carry it over to next week.
If you place a goal or wish you want to achieve on one side of the scales, you must place something equivalent on the other side to balance it.
Is it time?
Effort?
Experience?
Determination?
But sometimes, we place a big ideal on one side, and only "grit" or "prayers" on the other.
Before school tests or entrance exams, I often ended up doing this. Lol.
If you want to be "the best basketball player in the world," you need to "practice the most in the world."
The bigger the wish, the harder it is to balance.
But conversely, the more you work, the closer you get to balancing it.
Even if results don't come immediately, what you build up gradually gets heavier.
Sometimes you might think, "I've done so much," but if it's still not balanced, it might just mean your wish is that big.
So, if you don't give up and keep building on the other side, your wish should be granted when it balances.
Today, too, I will not waste time and will continue to build towards my goals.
