"Legendary Producer Salaam Remi"

Hello.
This is Aoyagi.

January is coming to an end, and perhaps your daily routine is starting to settle in.
During this cold season, we spend a lot of time indoors, so it's nice to enjoy music with a hot drink in hand.

Today I would like to talk about my favorite legendary producer, Salaam Remi.

Many of you may already know this, but let me start with a brief explanation.

He is a music producer from Queens, USA, and is a legendary figure who has worked on many famous hip-hop and R&B songs.

His works include:

=====
Amy Winehouse's albums "Frank" and "Back to Black"
"Fu-Gee-La" by The Fugees
Miguel's "How Many Drinks?" and "All I Want Is You (feat. J. Cole)"
=====

There are so many works that it is impossible to write them all down.

By the way, I first learned about Salaam Remi through Nas' 2002 album "GOD'S SON."

These songs are so catchy you'll never forget them once you hear them, including "Get Down" which samples James Brown, "Made You Look" which starts with a gunshot, and "I CAN" which samples "Fur Elise"!

At the time, I liked to look up the producers of my favorite songs, and all three of the songs above were It was a shock when I found out about Salaam Remi.

Since then, I've been looking forward to checking out his productions.

At the end of last year, 2024, he suddenly released five mixes simultaneously!

I skipped the blend mix quite a bit. (laughs)

If you haven't heard it yet, be sure to check it out now!
