"Salmon Pink / Ayahawa"
Hello.
This is Aoyagi.
This time, I'd like to talk about a record I came across by chance.
The other day, I visited the DISK UNION Shimokitazawa store for a meeting.
As I was quickly looking around the store, Keyco's 7-inch record "Salmon Pink / Ayahawa" caught my eye.
I took a second look, thinking "Could this be?", but time was running out so I went straight to the meeting.
Thank you very much to KIM from DISK UNION for your continued support!
After a 30-minute meeting with Kim, I asked him about the record and he said, "We just got it in recently."
I immediately returned to the sales floor and headed straight to the cash register without any hesitation.
This is one piece I got unexpectedly.
Side A: "Salmon Pink"
A kind message born from a book
This song was born when Keyco was moved by the book "For Whom Do You Live Today?" co-written by Hisui Kotaro and SHOGEN, and felt that she "really wanted to turn it into a song."
Based on the theme of "the happiness of sharing," which he learned in Bunju Village, Africa, the design conveys a warm message that even if you fight, you should use the salmon pink color of the sunset as a signal to make up.
When I dropped the needle on the record, the gentle husky voice and rich bass line spread out in three dimensions, enveloping me in a depth that was different from what I'd experienced with streaming.
AA side "Ayahawa"
Prayers delivered by 17 divas
The coupling song, "Ayahawa," was produced as a charity for the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
A total of 17 female vocalists have come together to create this song, and the title conveys the idea of "enveloping someone."
The inclusive chorus is like a prayer, and listening to it makes you feel like your heart is gently relaxed.
When I learned that a portion of the sales would be used to support the disaster-stricken areas, my joy at getting the record in my hands was even greater.
A small miracle connected by music and books
Both music and books were created with the desire to convey feelings to someone.
I was reminded of the power of words, realizing that these feelings have the power to move the hearts of many people across borders.
The 7inch that I came across by chance reminded me of that miracle.
