"The world will be your library for developing your skills."
Hello.
This is Aoyagi.
With the exhibition season over, we finally have time to take a breather.
However, it's not that I have more free time, but rather that I feel more at ease.
During the exhibition, I was busy with a huge amount of preparations from morning to night, and I often felt like I was just "getting by."
I still have a lot of work to start after the exhibition is over, but I feel less rushed.
Tips that come to mind when you are immersed in your hobby
After the exhibition ended, I had some free time to enjoy my hobbies, which left my mind in a relaxed state.
For the first time in a while, I spent the evening listening to records and reading a book.
At that moment, I feel as if the warm tones of analog music melt away the confusion in my head.
As an extension of that, I think about how I can prepare for the next exhibition more smoothly if I do this, or how customers will be happier if I provide them with this kind of hospitality.
Also, spending time skateboarding with my son took my thoughts in unexpected directions.
When I see the children's free movements and ideas, and their spirit of challenge to try anything and everything, I suddenly get the idea that "I wonder if we can incorporate this kind of flexibility and energy into the way our team works."
There's no such thing as wasted time
What I learned from these experiences is that there is no such thing as wasted time.
I realized that the time that seems wasted is actually the most neutral state, and a precious moment that provides me with nourishment and hints.
What's important is how you focus your attention on the time and events in front of you.
If you let your mind wander, the "space" will just feel "wasted," but if you always focus on making it even a little bit beneficial for yourself, your family, and your colleagues, I think everything will become a learning experience or an awareness.
While writing this article, I remembered a video of Kobe that my president had shown me a long time ago.
Get clear on what is most important to you.
If you are clear about what is most important, you can look at things like TV or conversations with others with the intention of finding some kind of clue.
Kobe put it this way: "The world is your library for developing your craft."
When you understand what you want, the world will give you the information you need.
It's a very encouraging video that I love and watch regularly to motivate myself.
lastly
This is starting to get a little stiff, so let me end with this song, which is full of humor.
This song is definitely the best.
By the way, the T-shirts that Scha Dara Parr is wearing are limited edition APPLEBUM x Scha Dara Parr collaboration T-shirts that were only sold at the live venue at the time.
nostalgic!
ps
After the exhibition, I was having a conversation with staff member Saito, who told me about a conversation between Master Utamuro and Bose.
This broadcast was also very interesting, so please check it out.
It takes an hour, so it's recommended for travel time!
