["VISONS OF THE ROOFTOP" Jonah Schwartz] Powered by APPLEBUM

An archive photo exhibition titled "VISIONS OF THE ROOFTOP" featuring unpublished photographs by Jonah Schwartz, a New York-based video artist, photographer and film director who has a long-standing relationship with APPLEBUM, will be held at Kinetics (Harajuku) from Saturday, August 24th to Sunday, September 8th.
In addition to the APPLEBUM x Jonah Schwartz capsule collection, we will be exhibiting and selling approximately 30 photographs taken around the world from the early 2000s to around 2020 , capturing the deepest aspects of US and Japanese hip-hop culture, as well as a photo book ( FUN ZINE ).
On Saturday, August 24th, the day of the photo exhibition, we will also be holding an opening reception party, with Japan's world-renowned King of Diggin', MURO, as our DJ.

A New York-born video artist, director, and filmmaker, he is a creator with over 20 years of experience in the film and music video industry.
As a video director, he has created over 100 music videos throughout his career.
Notable works include collaborations with countless artists, including The Black Keys, A$AP Rocky, Method Man, RZA, Die Antwoord, Freddie Gibbs, Curren$y, Joey Bada$$, PRODIGY (MOBB DEEP), and CAM'RON (The Diplomats).
Growing up in New York in the 80s and 90s, Jonah Schwartz was heavily influenced by the hip-hop, punk rock, skateboarding, and indie film culture that permeated the city, and he still carries these inspirations with him today.
Having spent much of his career in Japan, he has collaborated with many popular Japanese artists, including ANARCHY, KOHH, and NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND, capturing the local culture of each artist on film and sharing it with the world.
In 2009, he directed the documentary film Welcome To Blakroc, featuring The Black Keys.
More recently, in 2019, he directed the short film "The Dark Age," which is currently available on streaming platforms worldwide.
Jonah has a long career in cinematography, working not only on his own projects but also as a filmmaker, collaborating with other directors and producers, and working on commercial projects.
