"CALI" T-shirt

Hello.
I'm Toyohara, a staff member.

This time we would like to introduce the "CALI" T-shirt.

As I spoke with our company president, Sakaguchi, about this design, I gradually learned more about the background of the motif that symbolizes the "West Coast."

What was interesting was that each icon did not stand on its own, but rather it was only when multiple icons were lined up together that the "West Coast" atmosphere was created.

This T-shirt design reflects that perspective.

Afro Comb
A comb for afro hair, a symbol of black pride and identity.
It was first worn by members of the Black Panther Party in the 1970s as a style to flaunt their hair, and is now an icon that represents pride and rebellious spirit.

Fleet Master
A vintage Chevrolet from the 1940s.
It can be said to be the origin of lowrider culture, and continues to be respected especially in Chicano culture.
It embodies the fusion of respect for classics and street culture.

Legendary Record Shop
A legendary record shop and studio that actually existed in Long Beach, a mecca of West Coast Hip Hop that produced artists such as Snoop Dogg and Warren G.
