In the past, American hustlers would tie up their hard-earned cash with rubber bands and hide it in sneaker boxes.
Inspired by the real side of the street,
This time we will introduce the “NSB” T-shirt .
The term "hustler" does not necessarily refer only to criminals.
However, it is also true that the image of a "hustler = drug dealer" is deeply rooted in American street culture.
In a reality where the poor cannot access regular employment, people are forced to make a living by all sorts of means, including reselling, gambling and illegal services.
A prime example of this is rapper Jay-Z.
He grew up in public housing in Brooklyn, where extreme poverty and violence were commonplace, and before he achieved success as a rapper, he lived as a hustler on the streets.
Jay-Z is someone who has not hidden his past and has elevated it in his music and business.
Jay-Z created the concept album "American Gangster" inspired by the movie "American Gangster."
One of the most iconic songs is "Roc Boys (And The Winner Is...)."
The song contains the following lyrics:
“The Nike shoe box, for holding all this cash.”
"All the cash is in the Nike shoebox."
Also, this is not a topic about Hustlers,
When rapper Redman appeared on "MTV Cribs," a documentary show that introduces the homes of celebrities,
He was seen storing cash in a sneaker box.
