"Peacemaker" T-shirt

This time we would like to introduce the "Peacemaker" T-shirt.

This product contains the message of "anti-war and anti-violence," which was learned from hip hop, the brand's roots.

In the late 1980s, hip-hop icon KRS-ONE
Following the death of his friend Scott La Rock and the tragedy that occurred at a concert with Public Enemy,

In 1989, he released the charity single "Self Destruction."


This single sparked the "Stop the Violence Movement," which spread from the East Coast of the United States to the entire nation, calling for dialogue and understanding rather than violence and conflict, and for peaceful resolution.

Hip Hop culture was born from peace, love and unity, as symbolized by the words "Peace, Unity, Love, and Having Fun."

This T-shirt was made by APPLEBUM in 2007.

This T-shirt is a collaboration with rapper Jeru The Damaja.


The back of the T-shirt features a punch line handwritten by the artist himself.

The punchline, "Leave your nines at home and bring your skills to the battle," succinctly expresses the hip hop spirit of competing based on ability rather than violence.

I felt that these lyrics contained an anti-violence message, pointing out the danger of an environment where guns are readily available and death is right at our doorstep, and also saying that if we're going to fight, we should fight with rap, and that the time we spend in the midst of music is a peaceful time.




The muzzle of the gun was covered with a sticker of one of his signature songs, "Come Clean," creating a visual expression of "anti-violence."

(This T-shirt has been carefully stored for 18 years and is in good condition. Looking at it again, I think it's a great T-shirt.)

The event was held in the second year since the brand was founded. The collaboration with "Jeru The Damaja"
It was an official project that truly addressed the theme of "anti-violence."

Since then, APPLEBUM has consistently believed in the "true power of music" and continues to create products filled with prayers, wishes and messages.
