[Profile of Hamaguchi Ken] Hamaguchi Ken graduated from Tama Art University in 1997 with a major in Japanese painting.
While primarily active as an illustrator, he made his debut as an artist in 2008 at his solo exhibition "Black, Sutras, and Others" (Takahashi Collection Kagurazaka), producing paintings primarily based on music and other pop culture and subculture motifs.
Recent solo exhibitions include "Maybe the Innards of a TV?" (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo, 2021), "Eight Views of Tokyo 2020" (un petit GARAGE, Tokyo), and "PICK YOUR GOD 2020" (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo).
